Robertson Lane will replace the The Factory, the iconic nightclub building that sits between Robertson Boulevard and LaPeer Drive south of Santa Monica Boulevard. Starting at Pacific Design Center in the east, on through West Hollywood Park, to the bustle of Robertson Lane, and ending up at Melrose Triangle. Faring Capital’s new project, Robertson Lane, will promote cross-pollination of pedestrian traffic from Robertson Boulevard to the local surroundings. Now, the property will peer directly through the pedestrian thoroughfare of a major retail development. Early on, HQ Creative Office took a bold stand by establishing a presence on LaPeer Drive, which was still rather desolate. PickUp, West Hollywood’s free weekend trolley and bus rides, will be making the rounds throughout the night and stopping at 15 locations along a six-mile loop. Parking will be limited, and will be located at the nearby West Hollywood Park five-story parking structure.
The New Year will be rung in with a midnight balloon drop and alcohol-free toast, and the party will continue until 1 a.m. The event will also feature dancing and music played by Los Angeles-based DJ Derek Monteiro. There will be several food carts, along with free tacos and nachos. According to the website, the theme will allow many attendants “to be the Kings or Queens they always wanted to be.” There will be prom-themed decorations and a photo booth as well. This will be the party’s fifth year in a row and, like past years, the event will feature tons of events.Īccording to a press release from the city of West Hollywood, the theme of this year’s #BOOM! celebration is “A Prom To Remember,” and will include a prom-related costume contest with prom pictures and a corsage from Hollywood body painting artist Marky Make Up. The party, which has been described as “West Hollywood’s premier alcohol- and drug-free New Year’s Eve event,” will be located at the West Hollywood Park Auditorium located at 647 N.
